In our collection of classical statues there is the reduction of the statue of the Pietà of Rome by Michelangelo, made of white resin with an antique patina, suitable only for indoor placement.
Michelangelo created the sculpture between 1497 and 1499. The original statue is in white marble and is 174 cm tall. It is one of the master's masterpieces. The sculptural group represents the Madonna holding Jesus on her knees, just after he was taken down from the cross. Since 1517 it has been kept in St. Peter's Basilica.
