LS 123 Statue of the Ephebe of Marathon h. cm. 130 (National Archaeological Museum of Athens)
In our collection of classical statues there is the statue of the Ephebe of Marathon made of antique patinated white plaster, suitable only for indoor use.
The original statue of the Marathon Ephebe is a bronze sculpture, preserved at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, found in 1925 in the Aegean Sea, near Marathon. The sculpture depicts a naked young man, probably an athlete, in a moving position, and is attributable to the Praxitelian school.
